The Process

FARMWORKS needs to start with a base image of the property. If this is an aerial photo you can supply your own or FARMWORKS will purchase one on your behalf. The age of the photo is important so that any recent changes to the farm layout can be identified. To purchase an aerial photo, your farm Land Title information is required by the aerial photo supplier. The easiest place to find your title information is on your rates account from the local council. If located on a road, the road name is also helpful.

Once we have your base image it is computer scanned and converted into an electronic file. We then load the file into our mapping software and draw on the visible fence lines. A draft plan is then prepared and sent to you for checking.

You have the opportunity to verify the fence line position and mark on any changes that have occurred on the farm since the photo was taken as shown on the first draft. At this stage you also have the opportunity to add additional data that you wish to show on your finished plan. This is typically paddock names or numbers, troughs, farm buildings and farm title information.

Your final plan will then be completed incorporating any additional features you have identified.  A draft map will be forward to you to enter paddock names and any other features required.

Upon finalisation of the map details FARMWORKS supplies:
